With the groundbreaking ceremony on October 15, 2025, TBH GmbH has taken an important step for the future of the company. Right next to the existing main building on Heinrich-Hertz-Straße, a new production and logistics building with an adjacent parking garage is being constructed. This will expand the Straubenhardt location in a targeted and sustainable manner.
Additional production and storage space as well as new offices will be created on approximately 4,000 m². The new building will be complemented by a parking garage with 50 parking spaces. Sustainability has played a central role from the very beginning. Plans include a green roof, a photovoltaic system, charging stations for electric vehicles, and district heating. Completion of the entire project is scheduled for the end of 2027.
With the new building, TBH is laying the foundation for further growth. At the same time, internal processes will be optimized and additional capacity created. In addition, the new building will offer space for around 90 new employees. The company is thus sending a clear signal about its commitment to the Straubenhardt location and its long-term development.
Planning for the project began in the summer of 2024. Earthworks are currently underway. The shell of the building is expected to be completed in about a year. The parking garage will be a hybrid construction with wooden cladding. An energy consultant is accompanying the project to ensure that all relevant sustainability and efficiency requirements are met. Large windows will also provide plenty of daylight and a pleasant working environment.
The groundbreaking ceremony itself was a special moment. Together with Mayor Helge Viehweg, the Mössner architectural firm, representatives of Sparkasse Pforzheim/Calw, the local council, and many employees, the official start of construction was celebrated. The close cooperation with regional partners underscores TBH’s commitment to taking responsibility for people, the environment, and machinery.
The new building is therefore more than just a structural extension. It stands for sustainable growth, regional ties, and the consistent further development of the company.
