Occupational safety

Occupational safety reduces hazards in the workplace through legal requirements. Central measures such as air filtration and extraction prevent workers from inhaling harmful particles and thus suffering long-term health damage.

Protective clothing alone is not enough!

  • Effective extraction of airborne particles offers the best protection in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations such as TRBA100 5.1 (2), TRBA250 3.1.1, 4.2.3 and DGUV regulation 109-002.
  • Different hazard levels of particles and corresponding occupational exposure limits are specified in TRGS900.
  • Occupational safety and health protection are indispensable components of occupational health and safety.

Depending on the work process, hazardous particles such as dust and fumes are generated. Safety measures and protective clothing, including respiratory protection, reduce the risk, but can impede vision and breathing and are only the first protective step.

Clean air is essential for the employees’ health and to prevent errors.

Selecting the right extraction system is crucial,

  • to be informed about limit values,
  • to consider the type and quantity of particles to be extracted.

Important for correct extraction:

  • Extract particles from the air directly at the point of origin.
  • store in suitable filters -> filter type and size must be adapted to particles!

Consult a specialist about filter technology. It is important to know how the extracted air is treated so that the oxygen content does not drop. The correct filter change and its disposal are also crucial.
