FP 150 ATEX

Ideally protected from contaminants

The FP 150 ATEX is equipped with a cleanable, antistatic filter cartridge which allows dust cake being removed from the filter by using bursts of compressed air. The device is ideal for applications in which large amounts of dry, flammable dusts with a minimum ignition energy of >3mJ are extracted. The extraction system has a very long service life in comparison to systems with saturation filters. The extraction system is additionaly suitable for filtering easily flammable or explosive dusts and, according to the ATEX directive, labeled with EX II 2/- Dc IIIC T100°C for the use of extracting in Zone 21. Depending on the application, a special precoating powder can be used to enhance the filter lifetime in processes in which sticky particles need to be extracted.

The system meets the requirements of the ATEX directive (EX II 2/- Dc IIIC T100°C) and is suitable for extraction from a zone 21, although the system must be placed outside of the zone.

High adsorption power

The adsorption of the gaseous substances takes place with activated carbon granules (physical adsorption).

Applications

TBH extraction systems for your processes

Chipping

Metal machining processes produce many chippings. Extracting during machining and milling protects from inhaling tiny particles formed in these processes, as well as in truning, drilling and grinding. Due to the thermal influence of the manufactured components, pollutants penetrate deep into the lungs and can lead to serious diseases. To prevent that, a chip extraction systems is necessary which extracts chippings properly. 

Welding/Grinding/Cutting

Extracting welding fumes or grinding dusts is crucial because welding, grinding and cutting relase very fine particles from the processed surface. When these dangerous substances penetrate deeply into the lungs, they can cause severe illnesses. Only an extraction system for processes like welding protects enough from inhaling hazardous substances according to several welding fume regulations. 

Plastics processing

Almost every industry processes plastics these days. These processes let emerge abrasive dusts or vapors which make extracting in plastics processing inevitable. Especially in textile processing, there is a high concentration of these airborne fibers. The used chemicals, for example, when dyeing clothes are mostly harmful to health. Therefore filtration of textile dust is important.
